Lucky Me!

Knock on wood......BUT I have to say I have been lucky lately! It started last week and if you know me well then you know things usually do not go my way! Well last week I got a new car. One that I spotted on the internet and was suprised to actually get the one I had my heart set on! Then I won $30.00 playing Keno at the Pub. After that I told Scott "i am lucky lately" so I bought a scratch off ticket for $1.00 and won $20.00!

Well by good luck continues..... Last night I took my phone in to the verizon store because it was having problems. Actually it was my second new phone which I got in return for the first new phone that had problems( see i told you about my bad luck usually)!

Well the phone dork at Verizon told me he could do some software updates but that would cost me $$$$ and he wasn't sure it would fix the problem. I told him I didn't want the same phone or same model. So after clicking away for about 20 minutes on his computer he finally tells me I am up for an annual $100.00 credit towards a new phone.

SO I browse around the store to look for a phone, okay really I have had a phone in mind since it came out late July :) I show the guy the phone, he says ok and goes in the back. He comes out and tells me that this phone has a $50.00 rebate right now. Sweet!

He tranfers everything off my old phone and starts ringing me up. Then as he is looking at my account he asks me if I know I am a VIP member now. I laugh and say of course! No really I ask and what does that mean? Well since I pay all my bills on time.....spend so much money .......blah blah blah......I get $50.00 off on any phone and 25% off accesories!

Well so I got a $289.00 phone for way less than that :)

So here's my new phone...

I think it's pretty sweet. Let's just hope my lucky streak continues!

Put me in the zoo!

Potter's Park Zoo!

Since it was such a nice day today a few of us decided to pack up the kids and go to the zoo! We all had a great time. The zoo was so empty we practically had the place to ourselves!

Darren's first trip to the zoo!

Reed and Kaylee, like the feather behind Reed's ear? That was one of their favorite things...collecting feathers...and then singing Yankee Doodle!

Scarlet, Reed, Kaylee and Stef in the Coral Reef...this is where we saw Nemo, Marlin and Dory!

Being Kangaroo's! All the kids had to get their pictures in all of these animal paintings. This one was the best. Reed makes the cutest "joey" I must say!

This was another big attraction...the otters! The kids chased them back and forth and were giggling away. Everyone around them was laughing too!

Reed can roar like a lion! It was definately a really load roar :)

Their favorite part of the day was the playground.....go figure, the free thing outside of the zoo. We had a picnic lunch here.

Reed's favorite animal is a tiger!

We all had a great time and I'm sure all the kids are sleeping good tonight :)

Angels must be watching over her.....

A friend of mine's daughter was in a accident on Monday. She fell from a second story window of their home. God must have been watching over that little one because she landed in dirt and missed an air conditioner unit and the cement only by inches.

She is truly a little miracle, suffering only from a broken leg. It could have been so much worse and we are all thankful that nothing else happened. She is recovering at Mott's Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor and is expected to be realesed soon and on the road to recovery.

Please keep this sweet girl in your prayers and her parents as well as I'm sure they are going through a very tough time emotionally.

And always remember that God is with you and miracles do happen!!!
We love you Lily! You are in our prayers!

Vrooom Vroom...

Last January I turned in my Chevy Colorado because my lease was up. At that time Scott and I decided that since I work from home we only needed the one vehicle, Scott's Chevy Silverado. Well to make a long story short it just didn't quite work out. I hated feeling stranded when Scott wasn't home. So after months of "talking him into it" he finally agreed to another vehicle. SO......here it is..... Saturn Vue.......I love it. My favorite parts? Wood grain dash, moonroof and heated seats and all mine :)

Family Additions....

This summer we welcomed two new members into our family!

On August 2nd we welcomed Courtney into our family when she married my little brother Joe. They were married at the MSU Chapel in Lansing, MI. The wedding was awesome and Scott and I were both in the wedding along with a lot of our family.

On August 17th we welcomed little Addison Taylor onto our family. She is the third daughter for my cousin Jeff and his wife Jodi. She joins big sisters Katie Lynn and Alyssa Ann.

Scott and I feel very blessed to have such an amazing family!

I decided to join the blogging world

So yes it's true, I have joined the world of blogging. At this point I wonder if I even have anything interesting to "blog" about? I guess I will just have to wait and see. I hope to actually keep up on this and fill my friends and family in on what has been happening in our lives. Well not much for a first post but it will get better......i promise :)
