Yay
Scott got the job he interviewed for! He's now full time with benefits and retirement package. We are really happy and finally feel secure. Now time to tackle that credit card debt lol. Thanks for your prayers! I was thinking of suprising him with some sort of conrats celebration but not sure what yet, we have a supre busy weekend but I might be able to come up with something, I'll let ya know :)
Loss for words
I sat down today at the computer to do a little cheerful "have the day off" blogging but that is not going to be the case. While catching up on my blog friends I came across this blog. I can't tell you how sad this is making me right now. Take some time to read it. http://half12.blogspot.com. Make sure you start from the beginning of her blog. Sure makes you thankful for all of the people in your life. I will blog more later on a cheery subject but for now I just can't.

Goldie N.
Meet Goldie. She's a favorite around here. All the kids love her. Here's my nephew Aiden with Goldie. This was right after he kissed her.

Goldie came to us after a trip to the pet store with Scott and little boy R. Scott just couldn't say no. Goldie was very friendly at first but she has since bit somebody and now Goldie will live out the rest of her years in her spacious home.

She does crazy things. Like fit through spots you wouldn't think she could fit through. She's also an escape artist but if you leave her cage on the floor she always come back at night. Except for the time she found her way into the stove......and she lives to tell the story haha. She also hangs from the bars at the top of her cage and swings around, does pull ups and hangs by all fours. She should be on Stupidest Pet Tricks. She does this all night along with knawing at the tops of the tubes and any other plastic she can find. She now is litter trained LOL, thanks to an idea from my Ohio family by getting her a litter box! Yes they make hamster litter boxes.

Goldie aquired a last name as well this month. The daycare kids wanted to know her last name and I said she didn't have one so Little R who is 4 decided she will now be called Goldie Nocturnal. Pretty clever for four. Especially since Goldie only comes out at night!

We have a bunch of more pets I will tell you about in the future. Goldie is part of our daycare family and is loved by all.
MAN, I need to have a kid haha.

What have I got myself into ?
So today I just realized I have 10 kids enrolled in my daycare. NO they are not all here at once. The most I have at one time is 6 kids. Okay so really I realized I have 10 kids enrolled. The part I didn't think about is that 2 of those 10 will be here this summer (they are in school). I am going to have my hands full :) At least we will be able to play outside. Just in case you are curious this is the list of kids I have..... R girl age 7, I boy age 7, H girl age 4, R boy age 4, A boy age 4, J boy age 3, A girl age 3, A girl age 2,E girl age 2 and E boy age 1. I was asked to watch another age 4 but I think I am going to have to turn them down because I legally cannot have over 6 at any given time. I think I am going to have to hire someone this summer part time in the afternoons. I am thinking of my friends daughter who is 16. It would be a good job for her.
Onto other things....Scott had an interview today for the job he has been doing for a couple months. He was just a sub but they had been using him full time. This morning he interviewed for the actual permanent position. I am hoping he gets it because it means more pay, paid vacations and personal days and insuraunce...medical, dental and vision with blue cross blue sheild, very good. We need that bad. They said they would have a decision by the end of the day.
It is bitterly cold out today. I am glad I work from home so I don't have to go out in the winter weather. I don't have to deal with driving on the roads around here that are never salted or plowed. But that means I am stuck inside all the time and after 2 months of winter it is getting to me. It's not like I can drag 6 kids anywhere either, mostly because they cannot all fit in my car lol. Sometimes when I just have 2 or so in the mornings we go to the pool or an indoor playground which is nice for them to get all that energy out. I am ready for spring. NOW. We better get to Florida but we don't know, all depends on Scott's job.
Have a great day!

Update on the new kids
SOOOOOOOO.......all in all it went okay. Not great. Just okay.
The little boy, I will refer to him as A is four. Just turned four. He's teeny tiny and as cute as can be. And ALL BOY. And HYPERACTIVE. He speaks pretty well. Very curious. Lots of questions about lots of things. Well actually about everything. He needs to work on learing the rules and following them. I think it may take awhile. He knew one of the girls H from his preschool class and old daycare. They played well together. I'm not sure how my boys R and J are going to take to him. R was very excited for a new boy and they did play cars together for awhile. R is just a chill boy and doesn't really like the loud screaming, the running and the tackeling. We are working with A on this. J thinks he's the boss around here so he was happy to have someone to tattle on all day. OH JOY!!!
The little girl L will be 3 next week. She's a doll. Quiet and shy just the way I like them haha. All of the kids like her. She liked the art stuff, dolls and play kitchen. She's going to be simple. I think. She's terrified of my potty though. We will be working on this as well.
Mom and Dad seem very nice and dad seemed very involved.
So the day went sort of well. It will be much better when we can get outside more.
That's all for today. I'm going with the girls for chineese food and some drinks and wii. Should be a fun night.

See posts two days in a row...
Last night I got a call from a mother of two kids who knows one of the families in my daycare. She asked if I had any afternoon openings and I told her yes. We talked alot about her kids, how I run my program, days, hours, tuition, and so on. I asked her if she wanted to come by tomorrow (today) and she said " Well I was hoping they could start tomorrow would that be ok?" I have never had a family do that. Usually they come by about two times before starting their kids. So I am feeling a bit nervous. I always get nervous to start a new family. It's not the kids either it's the parents. You just never know what you're gonna get haha! They should be here in an hour and a half. A four year old boy and a three year old girl. I will update tonight and let you know how it goes. Supposedly the little boy has some "issues" that's all I will say for now. I heard this from another parent not his so maybe she's afraid to tell me about it we will see. Today could go anyway let's just hope it's good.
Last nights Wednesday Workout/Girls Night was fun. We walked a few miles on the track, did some stationary cycling, some weight lifting and a few other things. It was nice to have some girl chit chat ime with Stephanie since whenever we are together we are with our men. She's going through a tough time right now with the death of her great grandpa and I'm glad I could be there for her. On a happier note though she is also planning her wedding to jason right now. Scott and I are both in the wedding and I look forward to all of the planning fun we get to do :) Seems like I was just planning mine, I can't believe it's been 2 1/2 years since we got married.
Hope you are having a good day ( the one person who reads this lol) and I will update later about the "new kids".Pray for me lol.

Just Realized
Sorry I have not been on here in forever! I swore when I started this I was actually going to keep up on it. That's okay only one person reads it anyways haha :)
Not much new here. I am completely over winter and just wish it would go away. It's been soooooo cold here, in the negatives, and windy. Today I took the daycare kids to the indoor pool for splash and Play. They have a waterslide, lazy river, and the pool is 84 degrees. We got to feel like we were on vacation from 10:30-11:25am!!! I wish it lasted all day! The best part??? They have a huge hot tub connected to the splash zone so the grownups can sit in there while there kids play in the shallow water :) So ok I only got to sit in it for 5 minutes but hey I'll take what I can get!
My parents are on their way to Florida for the winter. I hope we can get down there again this year. We have many friends that live down there a few hours away and in March our best friends are moving down there(that's a whole post I'll save for later)
I've been working out since January 1st too. I have been doing some workouts I recorded on my dvr and last week came across a sale at Target so I bought The Biggest Loser workout and some weights. Tonight I am going to the gym with a girlfriend to jiggle my fat*** in public....scary haha. When (and if) spring rolls around I will start swimming again. I got some in today but not laps like I like to do. Swimming to me doesn't feel like excercise because I enjoy it so much. I miss doing it everyday......hubby needs to buy me the indoor endless pool.......i wish :)
So I am really going to try to get on here everyday. If not for others for myself. I think this will be nice to look back at after a few years. Life before kids, life as newlyweds, life before 30, that kind of thing. So oh well if nobody reads it, I will!!!
I'm also going to try a include a picture most everyday. Here is a picture from january since I didn't load my pics from today on the computer yet. This is one of my favorite pictures.

This is Darren the son of good friends of ours. He's got my hat on and it's actually pink and brown so I turned it to black and white!
