So today I just realized I have 10 kids enrolled in my daycare. NO they are not all here at once. The most I have at one time is 6 kids. Okay so really I realized I have 10 kids enrolled. The part I didn't think about is that 2 of those 10 will be here this summer (they are in school). I am going to have my hands full :) At least we will be able to play outside. Just in case you are curious this is the list of kids I have..... R girl age 7, I boy age 7, H girl age 4, R boy age 4, A boy age 4, J boy age 3, A girl age 3, A girl age 2,E girl age 2 and E boy age 1. I was asked to watch another age 4 but I think I am going to have to turn them down because I legally cannot have over 6 at any given time. I think I am going to have to hire someone this summer part time in the afternoons. I am thinking of my friends daughter who is 16. It would be a good job for her.
Onto other things....Scott had an interview today for the job he has been doing for a couple months. He was just a sub but they had been using him full time. This morning he interviewed for the actual permanent position. I am hoping he gets it because it means more pay, paid vacations and personal days and insuraunce...medical, dental and vision with blue cross blue sheild, very good. We need that bad. They said they would have a decision by the end of the day.
It is bitterly cold out today. I am glad I work from home so I don't have to go out in the winter weather. I don't have to deal with driving on the roads around here that are never salted or plowed. But that means I am stuck inside all the time and after 2 months of winter it is getting to me. It's not like I can drag 6 kids anywhere either, mostly because they cannot all fit in my car lol. Sometimes when I just have 2 or so in the mornings we go to the pool or an indoor playground which is nice for them to get all that energy out. I am ready for spring. NOW. We better get to Florida but we don't know, all depends on Scott's job.
Have a great day!

I did home daycare and it sounds like you have some nice groupings by age and the older kids can practice reading, etc. with the younger kids! I closed my daycare because I was working from 7:30 am until 8:30 pm Mon - Sat and there was a period of 6 months or so where my husband was working out of town. I was sooooooo tired! I did have GREAT kids and I miss them, but I had no "me" time!
